We actually had to cut our "School's out 4 Summer" party short so that we could get ready for Emma Lynn's Kindergarden Graduation.
Senora Brito did a great job putting it together. The kids all walked in and took their place on the risers and after a short induction they sang 3 of their favorite songs from the school year {they voted on them} for us. "The 3 R's" {Reduce, Reuse, Recyle}, "Que LLueva" {It's raining}, "Backward ABC's." Then Mrs. Robbins presented the dipolmas and we watched a DVD slideshow of their kindergarten year. Senora Brito had a framed picture for each of them in their cap and gown plus a copy of the DVD. We took pictures and enjoyed refreshments afterwards.
As I was ironing gowns on Thursday {my volunteer day.} I wasn't sad about Emma graduating I was more emotional that Spencer would be there in a few very short months. I am so not ready for him to leave me. But I had the same feelings exactly a year ago when Emma was on the verge of entering the school world.
Emma was blessed to have the influence of TWO amazing teachers this year both whom she loved greatly. She will miss Senora Brito so much this summer {she gave her about 12 hugs before the night was over!}
It has been so amazing to watch her blossom and progress and grow. It is beautiful. She is a wonderful and beautiful girl. She is helpful, honest, dilligent, hard working, kind and organized. I really feel blessed to be her mother and have this time with her. My heart swells at such a fabulous kindergarten year. You have accomplished so much!
