Sunday 05.03
Fast Sunday. Maria Rayo and parents came to the Spanish branch with me, Emma, Jane and the boys after church. The kids were not excited to go. We talked about how our attitudes are important in everything we do. After church they were happy and cheerful and I was sure to point out how service makes us HAPPY! Kurt, Ruth and Lucy stayed in Vale because Kurt was training the new bishopric on how to do tithing.
This is how he is handling allergies.
He originally had the jump rope around his head to keep the wash cloth in place.

After nearly a month we finally were able to go see Hank Bishop's home. The location is to die for. I was anxious to see the inside of the house. But really trying not to get my hopes up - it looks way to nice for us - out of our budget! Everything about it was beautiful. But he still hadn't decided on a price. I got the feeling they weren't too anxious to sell....I guess we'll see.

We had Girl Scout awards that evening. After a bad run-through after school I got a pizza for the kids and we went to Grandma Romans' house. We had a quick dinner and Ruth, Emma, Jane and I went back to the school. Emma had a speaking part and I had all the Daisies speak too. Great I had the Daisies this year and could be with Ruth and grateful to be done. :)
Tuesday 05.05
We had a preschool field trip {last one} to Luzetta's. Sarah is amazing. She gave us a tour of her store and then all the kids made a mother's day bouquets for their moms. LOVED it {and so did the kids.} We had quite a few rockin' field trips this year in preschool.
Looks at all the roses in prep for Mother's Day!
Almost as soon as the field trip was over I got a text from school that Spencer had thrown up. He threw up in the parking lot before he could get to the car also. His stomach had been bothering him for a few days. Poor kid. We canceled drum lessons and Austin's tennis match was canceled due to the wind.
We almost didn't know what to do with ourselves with the new found freedom. It felt so much like summer we could taste it - so we had ice cream!
She sure loves this brother. She is dotted upon by everyone.
Wednesday 05.06
Austin woke up with stomach issues and so he stayed home. It made things a bit easier as far as traveling for the little girls.
I spent the morning baking and cooking. I put together goodie plates for Austin's teachers {for teacher appreciation last week.} Food for the Drapers & Petersons. It was a good distraction from the interview coming that evening.
I left early to go to a meeting at the school with Chelle and Rachelle about starting Robotics at the prep school next year. The girls stayed with Austin since Jane was napping. After school the running began. It was more hectic than usual. Clogging was moved to Wednesday because they were going to be out of town for nationals the next day.
Impromptue tea party while Ruth was in class.
It short I made it to every place we needed to be and met Kurt at the stake center minutes before our interview. We ended up with Austin and Jane in Vale, Lucy, Ruth & Spence at Kelli's in Ontario and Emma at dance in Star. Phew! I have never felt so physically ill for an interview in all my life {including leading up to it.} They called Kurt to be the Branch President of the soon-to-be organized Nyssa 3rd Branch. We discussed questions and concerns for an hour. This will not be easy. As the Stake President said {more than once} a Bishop is handed his ward and asked to take care of it. There is nothing to hand, we will have to go out and find. They were kind and complimentary in their faith in us to accomlish this calling. And for the most part I managed to keep my emotions in control. Daunting is the word that comes to mind. And the theme for 2015 - humbling. Sadly we had to split up to get kids and couldn't even talk or hug or cry together.
Look how these silly girls ended up falling asleep.
Thursday 05.07
Emma was very excited Kurt had cut her pipes so she could do the experiment portion of her science project - why are some rivers fast flowing and other slow?
We had breakfast at the Plaza with Angelica. Johnny came with us while his mom got her hair done and his siblings were at part Friday.
We ran some errands before heading back to Vale. Kurt sent me to drive by this house which might be a possible rental in Nyssa. Since Kurt's calling we are changing the direction we are searching for houses. Kurt put a pivot up for this farm and spoke with the owner. Someone is living in it currently and they have to the end of the month to decide what they are going to do {move or start paying rent.} This house is in Nyssa but close to the highway. I clocked it at 11.39 minutes to the school!! Our neighbor Patty said she is very interested in buying our place and is going to talk with her bank. PRAYERS are being said and faith exercisered that all the housing situations will work out.
That afternoon we met back at the Forsbergs to quickly decorate for a surprise birthday get together for Christy. Brittany had it set up for Christy to come at 3:15. Christy is so sweet and so worth celebrating. It was fun to surprise her. She deserves it!
I have a secret dream to keep a "party-in-a-box" in my trunk at all times. I could take it to friends and neighbors to brighten their day and spread joy. It has been fun to plan with Brittany. We rushed home to get the kids ready for their school spring performance. They moved it inside due to a forecasted storm {that never came.} I will always love watching my kids on stage. They did a wonderful job! They started with ballet.
Ruth's ballet class danced to "Time After Time"
Emma's ballet class dance with the littlest class {quite precious} to "True Colors"
Ruth's class did a dance from Sweden {Guastiv's goal}
Spencer's class did a dance from Israel
Emma's class did a dance from Canada
This bunch got a little rowdy sitting together : /
Saturday 05.09
We got to twin at midnight. There sessions are every 2 hours and so we were planning to do the 7 am session. We had to drive home via Fairfield to pick up a large load of pipe so we needed to get on the road at a decent time. But we were exhausted. We got up at 7 and did the 9 am session. The love the mural in that temple. The temple is beautiful and I didn't want to leave. The peace was beautiful and Kurt received what was needed. That is a special process. In the temple we both felt prompted {at the same time!} to pray for our children the next few weeks {months} that they will be able to adjust to all the changes. And as their parents to respond with love and understanding. I know this will be an amazing blessing for our family. I'm excited for this opportunity to serve. I'm excited for the children to use their Spanish for GOOD. I'm excited for them to be apart of a branch - I LOVED those opportunities of being in a branch growing up. There are bunches of things that I worry about too. And that feeling of physical illness has not left. And naturally my lack of Spanish is a huge hang up for me. I dont' really want to go into the guilt and regrets but stick to humility and cling to the Lord for help, comfort and sucess.

Random note I found that Spencer had written.
I had to document this. Every time I look at Spencer he has one sock on. I have no idea why or where the other went. And neither does he but it happens Every. Single. Day.
We ate lunch at Cafe Rio before getting on the road. Cindy was super nice and brought the kids into Vale. We really truly appreciate her help with the kids and they LOVED being at grandma's house.
Ruth was exhausted when she got home. She's not use to late night slumber parties.
