Last week when we went to the library for the preschool field trip I checked out a book for myself. I am the type of reader that can't put the book down when I start it. Meaning life stops until I finish the book. That's not a great combo for a mom of six kids. So I save reading for pleasure for the summer time when the schedule is more relaxed. Maybe I was feeling rebellious or needing an escape from reality. Whatever the deep rooted reason I read the book and then made multiple trips to the library throughout the week to get more. My guilty pleasure is historical Christian Romance. I read two of Janette Oke's books. So the summary of my week is that I chose reading over sleeping.

Kurt found out that the original buyer of the La Grande store backed out and it was again up for sale. Well that puts a twist on things! Let the praying in earnest about La Grande commence.

Earlier in the week Joel (from the branch) went to the hospital for vertigo related symptoms. They discovered he had an aneurysm in his brain stem. A few hours later he had a stroke. And he's young!! Kurt has gone to visit him daily. Joel every positive attitude is inspiring. Experiences like these kind of shake you to the core & renew your heart of gratitude. In the meantime lots of prayers for Joel.
