Well, what did you think?!?

I really liked Breaking Dawn. It brought a lot of closure for me. I liked Bella's character better as a vampire. I had issues with the Jacob imprinting thing but it all worked out for me in the end. Your thoughts?

I'm glad that you liked it. Michael is laughing as he is reading some of Jacob's thoughts in Breaking Dawn right now. I am excited for him to be finished so we can talk more about it. I try not to give anything away in my looks as he thinks out loud about where he thinks the story is going:) I read that some people really didn't like Breaking Dawn. It seems like that emotion comes more from the people who read each book as it came out. I felt the final book put it all nicely together, but I read the series like you did, back to back very quickly. Yes, Bella as a vampire was great. I liked how she became a vampire too. I loved her vampire "gift". Her characters were fun to read. I'm rather fond of Alice and Bella's relationship. I've enjoyed reading the author's comments about each of the books on her website too. You should check it out if you haven't already. Now you need to read Midnight Sun. She has this unfinished manuscript posted on her website. It's Twilight from Edward's perspective. It was fun to read it while being in his head and to gain new insights on some of his intense behavior. I look forward to her finishing it someday. I hope they do the Twilight book justice in the new movie. Do you plan to see it?

I am going to see the movie. A large group of moms are all going together for the Thursday midnight showing. I am a little hesitant to see it. I know there is no way it could even touch the greatest of the books but I am still intrigued. I heard about the book from Edward's point of view but I didn't know if it was a rumor or not. I'll have to check it out. I loved having Jacob's pt of view in BD! It was so refreshing, like a burst of fresh air which is essentially what his character is. I love his character (I was cheering for Jacob to win Bella up until BD - I am happy with how it worked out.) I would love to see her start another series about Jacob and Renesmee (after she has reached maturity of course!)

Rach, you are your mothers daughter! I love that you finally caught up with the rest of the family! I think we are still trying to get to Tia, but I'm not sure if we can :) Although I can't believe that you wanted Jacob to get Bella! He made me so angry so many times, especially in New Moon. When did you realize that Bella was pregnant? Did you guess about the imprinting before they actually told you? I so wish that you were closer and could have been here for our "Breaking Dawn" party! You need to come and visit your fam in DC so that we can come and catch up! Miss you & love you!

Ps, are you going to read The Host?

I loved it too! I like Bella as a vampire better too. I too am going to go see the midnight showing of Twilight! I am so excited! I never thought a book about vampires would be so interesting!
I also read the Host and enjoyed it.

P.S. I read the first chapter of 'Twilight" Edward's Point of view on her website, stephaniemeyer. com. It sounds like it will be really good.

This is news to me!! I was totally unaware of a book from Edwards point of view. I am intrigued. I finished the series this summer, but started again last week. I wanted to reread it before going to the movie.

I am not sure I was pulling for either Edward or Jacob. I kept waiting for the part when she realized she could and would have been okay on her own. OH well! It's a romance!

I hear you Tessie! DO WE HAVE TO HAVE A MAN IN OUR LIFE TO BE HAPPY? What about realizing your own self worth as a woman? This book is targeted for teens, is this the message we want to be sending our young daughters? Over and over Bella stated that she could not live without him. It was a little sickening to me. But maybe these types of books are not meant to be over analyzed. Regardless it still sends a message. Honestly I think that is why I was pulling for Jacob. Bella could completely be herself with him without the suffocating overprotection and the drama of "my heart is breaking without you" that Edward brought. As a vampire, and an awesome one at that, Bella was more Edwards equal and a lot of the over protection he felt with her as a human was gone. Their relationship finally felt more realistic to me at that point. What did I just say? That I found a vampire relationship realistic? LOL!
