Halloween Logan Style Day One (10-30)

We headed down to Logan to visit the Farnsworth to spend Halloween together on Thursday (ya, it was 5 pm before we got out of Vale. Since I was just trying to stay afloat that week we are lucky that we even were able to leave on Thursday!) The kids continue to travel well and we pulled into the Crystal Inn in Logan without any major trama or drama. We did pass out quickly though.

We enjoyed the nice breakfasts that the hotel provided each morning. And then headed over to Elaine's basement apartment. Wow, that brought back a lot of memories! Our first apartment together after we were married...in a basement...those were the days...everything about their life brought back so many memories...the simplicity of college life...anyways I've degressed.

Friday morning we went to the Logan library for a Halloween story time (the guys used Kurt's pick-up to couch.) It was packed! And pretty short but it was a great library and we enjoyed the time there (it only made me slightly miss city life.)

We did a lot of Halloween activities that afternoon and evening. Elaine had made sugar cookies so we let the kids frost and decorate them.

Austin's deep concentration for the matter at hand.

Lorna's creative, busy hands

Intense frosting eating!

I was a super aunt and let Lorna have complete creative genuis with her cookie. [Her parents were not in the room when this was taking place!!!] She piled candy corns 3 levels high. Complete with frosting inbetween each layer to support it. It was a her creative masterpiece. I was totally enjoying the moment! Mainly b/c I knew her parents would never let her have such creative expression! LOL

Rooster on a sugar high

Emma Lynn's creations (luv it!)

Can you see Spencer's nose in Elaine's super shiny knife?

The finished products, and they tasted good too.

Elaine treated the kids to her art skills with Halloween face (or hand) painting.

The girls danced up a storm to the Halloween music.

And played a few games (the bowling is always a big HIT!)

But most importantly the cousins played together and reconnected.
