Dec. 25 - Merry Christmas

Santa did find us in Logan!

Santa brought Austin a Lego Bionicle VOROX (the item he was asking for) and a K'NEX Thrill Ride

Nearly four hours later with the K'NEX Thrill Ride. Dad and Austin were in heaven building together. Kurt was amazed with Austin's thought process and ability. Makes an engineering dad so proud.

Santa brought Emma Lynn a doll (the item she was asking for) named Addison complete with change of clothes and a journal. love.

She also got a Disney tracing light. It is pretty cool - you insert different disk and it projects an image onto the board and you can trace it.

Spencer got a space ship complete with lots of astronauts, satellites, aliens, and "Magic School Bus" DVD about space.

A much loved slinky was found in his stocking!

Rooster got a shopping cart with food (the cell phone was in her stocking.) Apparently she shops like her mother (learn by example!)

Maren made delicious cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning breakfast. Rooster loved them (and so did her father - we will not mention how many he ate to spare you from getting sick!)

Timmy got a CELL PHONE and to quote, "All of Marshall High School will be happy."

Sam received a lot of mission prep stuff (CLOTHES) but my favorite was a pillowcase we all signed for him. We did this for Karen before she left also (she could quote what each of us had written.) We were all a little long winded on Sam's. Let's see if he'll can quote it back in 2012... ;)

Maren received an indoor hanging tomato plant (apparently she wanted this.) And Joseph holds the record for trendy dress shirts and cool ties received in one setting.

This was a favorite - a present from Joseph to remember the inauguration by.

I requested a Claudia Richards original of the Boise temple for my 30th birthday. She decided to do it for Christmas instead. I LOVE IT!!! Thank you so much mom!

Ethan & Karen the BEST Christmas miracles.

Ruth LOVED all of Lorna's Christmas presents! Namely a set of Disney princess dress up slippers and a super cute polka dot tea set. At least I know what to get for her birthday!

All of Austin's Christmas was spent doing what he loves - building! He received 3 different building sets.

Doing what I love with my kids - reading new books!

We also did another Christmas pageant that evening before scripture study. My parents did this with their seminary class. It is reader's theatre of Christmas in America (script from the Friend magazine.) I really liked it and think we'll adopt it as a Christmas tradition.

We had the perfect Samuel

Austin even had a reading part. He did great! We were going for real authenticity with our costumes! :D

I loved that there was a lot of singing in this program. Rooster was very impressed by Kurt's singing skills.

What a wonderful Christmas.
The spirit was felt.
The love was real.
And Christ lives.
Merry Christmas!

I love Kurt singing to Ruth and her "impressed" face, haha. Your mom's painting is fantastic!
